About Julie

Julie Damerell is a happily retired reading teacher. This creates time for volunteering for Americans of Conscience Checklist, Postcards to Voters, Civics Center, the local public library, and various textbanks as well as writing regularly to her legislators. She is a voracious reader, mostly of PB, middle grade and YA books. Some of her poems and essays were published in the 1990s and early 2000s. Going to movies and live theater are other joys. Julie is currently exceeding expectations as a grandma.
