My Artistic Influences

Quentin Blake

I love Quentin Blake's loose, sketchy style.

 William Steig

Sylvester and the Magic Pebble is one of my favourite children's books, both for the story and the illustrations. I love the emotion he manages to convey in his illustrations -- I remember feeling so incredibly sad for Sylvester as he's sitting there as a rock.

Charles M. Schulz

Peanuts was one of my favorite comics as I was growing up, and I was in love with all the characters. In 2011, my husband and I visited the Charles M. Schulz museum and I was in HEAVEN.

Ronald Searle

I love the quirkiness of Searle's work.
