Kimberly Gee - Gallery

Kimberly lives and works as an illustrator in Claremont, California. She graduated from California State University Long Beach with a degree in Interior Architectural Design. She began her professional work, at Hatch Design Group, a restaurant design firm, where she worked her way to Design Director.

Then, Kimberly began her own illustration studio specializing in architectural renderings and concept design packages. Also, she began dabbling in licensing artwork to companies such as Recycled Paper Greetings.

Eventually, Kimberly opened her own Greeting Card company, Lucky Baby Greetings. Her line of baby-related cards sold to boutique shops including the hip Itoya in Tokyo, Japan, Kate’s Paperie in New York City, Planet Blue Kids in Malibu, California.  Kimberly also designed a line of infant toys and products, licensed and distributed by The Van Group.

Her latest creative endeavor is in the field of children’s books. She has recently had her first book published, which has been a life long dream, by Random House Children’s Books. Today with Meg and Ted will be released in January, 2011.  She is currently working on two new book ideas, with more waiting in the wings.

Kimberly’s 5 year old twins, Finn and Claire, provide her with inspiration and laugh breaks. Her husband Ken, a chiropractor, provides support, friendship, and keeps her back in good shape so she can spend long hours at the drawing board.
