Recent iPad sketch: Boy At Airport

Taking the advice of pro illustrators at the SCBWI Summer Conference, I'm going to be doing a lot more life sketching from now on. Here's a sketch I did on my iPad at the LA airport (using a Pogo Sketch stylus with the SketchBook Pro app) while I waited for my flight home:

BoyAirport

I was actually sketching something else when the boy noticed me drawing on my iPad and started watching in fascination, so I erased my original doodle partway through and sketched HIM instead. :-D He called his brother over excitedly and said something. My French is only so-so, but I did recognize the word "vitesse" so figured he was surprised that I could draw so quickly.

I gave my business card and a Pixel Shavings bookmark to his dad after he asked me (in English) if I drew for a living.
