One way to look at the writing process is to use words only for aspects of the story that cannot be conveyed by the drawings.

Just discovered The Wormworld Saga, an online graphic novel being posted online by Daniel Lieske. Daniel is working on it in addition to his regular day job. The first chapter took him a FULL YEAR, wow.
Anyway, do check out Daniel's project. His artwork is absolutely gorgeous, and the story intriguing.
