Debbie's Writing
Debbie is the creator of Inkspot: The Writer's Resource, one of the first communities for writers on the Web. In its six years of operation, Inkspot and its companion e-newsletter Inklings had 50,000 subscribers, 200,000 unique site visitors and over 400,000 page views a month.
Her current website for writers, Inkygirl: Daily Diversions For Writers, includes tips, information, interviews and comics for writers, and was chosen as one of Writer's Digest Best Websites of 2010. Her Twitter account for writers, @inkyelbows, was included on over 1500 Twitter lists, and Debbie's Twitter Guide For Writers is a popular reference for newcomers.
Author of The Writer's Online Marketplace (Writer's Digest Books, 2001), Debbie writes a daily publishing news column for Writersmarket.com. Her nonfiction articles, short stories and poetry have appeared in publications both offline and online, including Writer's Digest, The National Post, Cottage Life, Applied Arts Magazine, blogTO, The Country Connection, N2Arts Magazine, Harp Column, ArtCalendar Magazine, Ideals, Snakeskin, PKA's The Advocate, Hobnob, The Orangeville Citizen, The Dollar Stretcher, How To Publish and Promote Online (Ed. Debbie is a member of MiG Writers, the Toronto Middle Grade and Young Adult Group (Torkidlit), CANSCAIP and the SCBWI.
