Q. How do you create your stop-motion videos?

Answer:

I'm still figuring out a longterm solution I'm happy with but right now I use a free stop-motion photography app called iMotion on my iPhone.

I use a Joby GripTight GorillaPod Stand to hold my iPhone, and then suspend the GorillaPod from something horizontal. I've been experimenting with various objects, including a board suspended across my drawing space. However, this setup is often very kludgy and tips over easily, so I'm looking for a better way.

I've just ordered a Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 055 Aluminum 3-section tripod with horizontal column because I'm looking for a better way to photograph my found object art. The horizontal column supposedly lifts up and out horizontally to make it easier to attach a DSLR to photograph stuff on the ground/floor. I'll post more here when I find out if it works!
