Q. Do you do Skypevisits/Google Hangouts?

I love doing Skypevisits and Google Hangouts with young people at schools and libraries. 15 minute Q&A visits are free!

Regular virtual visits include any of the books I've written and/or illustrated, how a picture book is created, what I've learned during her journey to publication, writing and illustrating comics, creativity and inspiration, found object drawing demos, digital drawing techniques, writing picture books, illustrating picture books, or a combo.

I love virtual visits because I have access to more show-and-tell materials that would be a challenge to lug around with me for in-person visits. In past visits during Q&A, for example, I have played my flute and tin whistle, did drawing demo with a variety of non-digital media as well as digital, shown students proofs and sketches and photos, worn costumes, used props, shown them around my office, and so much more.

I am flexible in format; just let me know what you'd like and I'll let you know if it's possible. You can find out more information at my Appearances page.
