Above: My friends Rand and Erin at FKO.

Finished unpacking but am now trying to catch up with e-mail and getting tax stuff done. Meanwhile, feel free to check out the photos I'm gradually uploading from my trip:

My photos from The Gathering: my first time at Alan Moon's invite-only boardgaming convention in Columbus, OH. Had a fantastic time and everyone made Jeff and me feel very welcome.

My photos from FilKONtario: Flew home a few days before the end of The Gathering so I could attend FilKONtario. Attending FKO always feels like coming home for me. I explained to people at The Gathering that FKO is like a boardgaming convention except that instead of playing boardgames the whole time, we play and listen to music. I also had fun explaining filk and the filk community to them -- I'm hoping to eventually sway some over to the Dark Side, and vice versa. (bwa ha haaa...)

Photos are of wildly varying quality, taken with my iPhone, point-and-shoot and Canon Rebel. Left my digital SLR in Columbus with Jeff because of limited luggage space, so only had my iPhone and point-and-shoot at FKO.

I'll be posting more detailed reports from each of the above events when I've had a chance to catch up.
