Debbie's Filk FAQ: overview, plus topics/questions welcome!

Some of you may already know that I've been a member of the filk community for...oh, let me think...for about 25 years. I created my Filk FAQ (answers to frequently asked questions about filk) in hopes of helping filk newcomers as well as providing an information guide for those unfamiliar with the term.

I called Debbie's Filk FAQ to differentiate it from the rec.music.filk Filk FAQ, which is ably maintained by Kay Shapero. My filk FAQ is not meant to be The Definitive Guide To Filk but based heavily on my own experiences and opinions as well as those of other filkers.

I welcome suggestions for new topics and questions. If I don't have enough knowledge to answer the question myself, I'll interview those who do. You can see a list of topics already covered in my Filk FAQ index.

I also know some of the links are outdated -- always feel free to post the correct in the comments section of that page and I'll include your correction when I next update that page. Thanks SO much to everyone who has helped make the site a useful resource for those interested in filk!

If you have no idea what filk is, feel free to read What Is Filk?
