Translating The Back Of A Raisin Bran Box

Above: the back of a Raisin Bran Box in Canada right now. I understand that the government is trying to educate people how to read nutrition tables, but I can’t help but think there must have been a better way. Basic message of all the text above seems to be (at least at first glance, and who’s going to read the back of a cereal box that closely??):

15 is a bigger number than 5.

I wonder how many tax dollars went into the planning and execution of this project.

It's also not necessarily true. If a slice of bread is listed as having 100 nutritional calories, and a serving of spaghetti as having 200 nutritional calories, it doesn't mean that spaghetti is richer in calories than bread, just that you're expected to eat more spaghetti than bread in one official serving.

Good point. Sigh.
