Songwriting Notes

The Friendship Song - lyric notes

I'm continuing to gradually revamp the Urban Tapestry website, gradually adding songs back to our list. To make it more interesting for me and for visitors, I'm enhancing each song page as I add it back in -- often with cartoons or photos, plus a bit of background info about the song and how it was created. Allison and Jodi will add notes to their own songs when they have time but meanwhile I've been monopolizing the song list. :-)

Latest additions: The Friendship Song and My Jalapeno Man.

Wherever possible, I've also included a streaming sound file or a link to a streaming sound file. Right now I'm trying out Boxstr.com, which hosts up to 200 GB of files for free with 75 GB/day of bandwidth. If anyone knows of a better streaming/hosting service, please do let me know.

Anyway, this means that I can start blipping Urban Tapestry songs on my Blip.fm page! My first Urban Tapestry blip: The Friendship Song.

Debbie, I love the new look of Urban Tapestry's website! It is well organized with all sorts of clickable goodies and an eye catching banner.

I would love to revamp my website sometime again, because there are so many other songs I would like to put up. When my friend John, was helping me with it, it was dedicated to promoting my album -- so everything is focused around Courting My Muse -- lyrics, pictures, etc.

Thank you for sharing your work. All of it inspires me! *hugs*
