guest blathering: tom and andrea

Ferris Ferret, a Geomag creation by Tom Algeo

(Note from Debbie: Jim Leonard has his photos from Concertino online.)

Hi Everyone,

Andrea and I are visiting Debbi on the tail-end of a weeklong vacation to the Adirondacks. We had a Nick-free week since our 2 1/2-year-old is spending quality time with his grandparents in Michigan. The Adirondacks were pretty if somewhat overdeveloped. We got in a few hikes, a boat excursion, some sightseeing, and a lot of good eating and B-and-B-ing. We are now enyoying the hospitality of Debbie and Jeff, who have a great view from the 24th floor of their building of downtown Toronto. When Andrea blathers next, be sure to ask her about the 30-second whacked bush video.

Tom Algeo

Hi Folks,

Tom and I are finishing off a relaxed and enjoyable vacation, with the last two days spent at the home of Debbie and Jeff. As Tom noted, we did a variety of activities in the Adironacks, including eating too much food (note to self, eat salads this week!).

We arrived at the Ohi/Ridpath's yesterday and are heading to my parents later today . . In anticipation of seeing our son Nick ;-)

Last night we had dinner at a local Greek restaurant, splitting three ways a sinfully rich "Chocolate Mousse Bomb" dessert after our meal. Yesterday afternoon, Tom made yummy banana bread in Debbie's kitchen while Debbie and I talked and listened to music.

Thanks Debbie and Jeff for hosting us!

Andrea

BTW - Please note that Tom's 30-second rock hill video is just as intriguing as my "wacked bush" production.

Hi Everyone!

Debbie urged me to respond to scurrilous insinuations :) in the "BTW" message above ("blathering wars" was her coinage). Let me make absolutely clear that the 13- (not 30-) second "rock video" was merely the consequence of my unfamiliarity with Andrea's camera, which I was using for the first time, and that I had not noticed that it was preset to "movie mode" rather than to "photo mode."

Tom

p.s. Andrea reads Tom's note and thinks "Picky, picky, picky . . . "
