no-see-ums

Hot and humid in Toronto these days; I miss the cottage lake. Don't miss the bugs, but they're a small price to pay for fresh air and forest all around. Speaking of bugs, has anyone else heard of "no-see-ums"? I'm referring to the small flying, biting insects that are small enough to fit through the holes in a window screen. Jeff recently told me he thinks the term is only used in Ontario, so now I'm curious about what they're really called. Today's site: Destination: MARS - only 2 days until the Mars Pathfinder lands!
